Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Training and Facilities Coordinator to lead and coordinate warehouse training programs and facility maintenance. You will develop on-the-job training, certify team members on material handling equipment, and monitor training KPIs.

The role requires collaboration with Safety, Operations, and vendors, and may include after-hours training to meet business needs. Strong organizational and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of warehousing/logistics experience.
  • Minimum of six months of training experience.
  • Minimum of one year with material handling equipment.
  • Experience coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to become MHE certified within 30 days of hire.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate new-hire orientation and refresher training on policies, procedures, safety, quality standards, and work instructions.
  • Facilitate shift training on safety, operations, quality, standards, procedural updates, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain on-the-job training programs.
  • Coordinate training and development programs based on operational needs.
  • Train, certify, and recertify team members on material handling equipment and maintain certification records.
  • Monitor, measure, and report training KPIs.
  • Maintain training databases, files, certifications, development records, materials, and documentation.
  • Evaluate skill levels, identify training gaps, and coordinate retraining or additional development.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and facility upkeep.
  • Monitor building and equipment condition, including MHE, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and custodial needs.
  • Identify and troubleshoot facility and equipment issues and coordinate repairs or outside service support.
  • Report, document, prioritize, and address building or equipment concerns.
  • Identify and assist in correcting facility-related safety hazards.
  • Coordinate equipment, materials, tools, and resources for training and facility operations.
  • Partner with site leadership, Safety, Operations, vendors, contractors, and other resources.
  • Communicate training, facility, equipment, and safety concerns and recommend resolutions and improvements.
  • Provide leadership, direction, oversight, and functional guidance across departments and shifts.
  • Cross-train in other leadership functions and work overtime as business needs require

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in warehousing and/or logistics
  • Minimum of six months of training experience
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with material handling equipment
  • General knowledge or experience related to facilities, systems maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair work
  • Experience coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Willing and able to work evenings and weekends as business needs require
  • Must be able to work in warehouse environments with varying temperatures
  • Must be able to become MHE certified within 30 days of hire and maintain applicable certifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to maintain training records, databases, documentation, and applicable facility records
  • English reading, writing, and verbal communication
  • Intermediate mathematical skills
  • Ability to develop, implement, coordinate, and facilitate training programs
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory procedures, terminology, and best practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot general facility and maintenance issues

  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing priorities with limited supervision
  • Ability to adapt to change and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull 21–50 pounds
  • Must be able to reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, and kneel
