Job summary

Hard Rock Biloxi is seeking a guest-focused team member to support the Race & Sports Book operations and ensure smooth daily activities. The role involves explaining wagering rules, updating betting lines, approving wagers in the manager's absence, and supervising staff to maintain high standards of service.

You will work within casino gaming regulations, communicate clearly with guests and colleagues, and contribute to a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Race & Sports Book Manager in daily operations.
• Explains wagering rules, lines and odds to guests as needed.
• Approves over the limit wagers in absence of the manager and low-limit comps per regulations.
• Monitors all monies being wagered and updates betting odds according to policy.
• Represents Hard Rock Biloxi and maintains knowledge of regulations and internal controls.
• Promotes safety awareness and teamwork among staff.
• Performs duties in compliance with state gaming regulations.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Assists the Race & Sports Book Manager in daily operations.


• Explains wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests as needed.


• Approves over the limit wagers for the property in absence of manager and approve low-limit comps as
  permitted by jurisdictional gaming regulations.


• Approves and refuses wagers from customers.


• Updates and maintains all customer sheets.


• Monitors all monies being wagered and updates the betting odds according to company policy.


• Accurately issue and redeem betting slips for guests while providing gaming information and abiding by all gaming regulations/requirements.


• Supervises Mutuel Clerks.


• Maintains & continually updates knowledge of regulations set forth by the Mississippi Gaming Commission and all government agencies.


• Knows and abide by Hard Rocks policies, procedures, internal controls and courtesy guidelines.


• Performs all duties in accordance with state gaming regulations.


• Handles guest disputes quickly and effectively within the level of their authority.


• Assists with training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and/or scheduling employees.


• Promotes safety awareness to minimize work related injuries.


• Maintains knowledge of property information.


• Upholds the Mission Statement.


• Represents Hard Rock Biloxi in the most positive manner with guests, co-workers, managers, and vendors.
