Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Assists the management team in the daily operations of the store. Responsibilities include management functions, opening/closing the store, overseeing production and retail operations, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

• Ensures excellent customer service to customers and donors.
• Provides leadership, guidance, training, and professional development to motivate staff and achieve departmental goals.
• Creates a positive work environment with minimal employment relationship issues.
• Assists in performance evaluations, goal setting, and work scheduling.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized store with properly displayed merchandise.
• Reports concerns or issues promptly to management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports organizational initiatives such as the 4DX methodology.

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of supervisory experience; retail experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including email, internet, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Having a CA Driver’s License, an acceptable driving record, and a reliable insured vehicle is preferred.
• Ability to operate electronic cash registers.
• Understanding of retail store operations: stocking, merchandise flow, quotas, cash handling, bank deposits, and sales reports.
• Basic arithmetic skills and ability to interpret sales reports.
