Summary:

The HIM Operations Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the information processing section of the HIM Department. This includes all aspects of release of information, deficiency analysis, document management, and the HIM call center. The position reports to the HIM Manager or HIM Director and assists in planning, organizing workflow, ensuring quality and productivity, overseeing performance evaluations, and managing staff time and attendance.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Associate degree required or equivalent experience of 3-5 years in Health Information Management or related healthcare field.
2. License/Certifications: N/A
3. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Health Information Management department or equivalent hospital/medical practice setting. Prior experience in training teams and leading projects is preferred.
