Job summary

State of California's Criminal Record Update Program seeks a Supervising Program Technician III to lead the CRUP section. This role analyzes workload, distributes tasks, monitors performance, and prioritizes work while advising on complex cases.

The position requires strong leadership and organizational skills within a public-sector environment. The SPT III also trains personnel, assists data updates on the ACHS via JADE, reviews attendance, and develops memorandums and documents.

Job description

The SPT III is the first line working supervisor in the Criminal Record Update Program (CRUP), Criminal Record Update Section over Program Technician (PT) III staff. The SPT III must analyze, distribute, monitor, and prioritize workload; Identify, resolve, and advise in resolving the most complex work. Train and assist personnel who update data on the Automated Criminal History System (ACHS) via the Justice Automated Data Exchange (JADE). Monitor and evaluate attendance and work performances and take appropriate corrective action when necessary. Develop memorandums, correspondence, and personnel documents as needed. The SPT III must analyze workload data, have a working knowledge of all the work functions in CRUS and have a working knowledge of the Bureau’s functions.
