Job summary

Jobtailor in Paducah, KY is seeking an experienced Project Lead for day-to-day field operations. You will partner with the Project Manager to guide vendors, subcontractors, and site teams, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality on large commercial projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in LARGE ($10M+) commercial construction.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
• Experience with pull planning and Last Planner System.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore, and Primavera.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job description

• Provide complete project field leadership and direction for day-to-day operations in partnership with the Project Manager
• Coordinate vendors and subcontractors to install their scopes according to Contract Documents and Project Schedule
• Lead project safety, implement the Site-Specific Safety Plan, conduct safety meetings, manage site logistics, and handle incident investigations
• Create, maintain, update, and report on the Project Schedule
• Develop and implement recovery plans and lead pull planning efforts
• Coordinate site construction activities and manage project constraints
• Oversee the Site Quality Assurance Plan and trade partner contract compliance
• Schedule and attend inspections with authorities having jurisdiction, third-party inspectors, and clients
• Coordinate installation between trades and drive trade partner progress
• Attend jobsite meetings, schedule deliveries, document the project site, coordinate job progress, assist with inspections, and support invoice reviews and status reports
• Collaborate with inter-company field leadership to drive efficiencies and best practices
• Monitor and author Daily Reports
• Drive processing and review of submittals for timely material procurement
• Manage quality assurance implementation, preparatory meetings, site logistics, and deficiency resolution
• Attend project update meetings and communicate project health and progress
• Measure and report project progress
• Monitor Energy Savings targets and coordinate with M&V and Engineering teams
• Ensure legal, permit, and regulatory compliance and manage permit closeout
• Document existing site conditions and interface with facility operators
• Support start-up and commissioning activities
• Promote and maintain company culture with stakeholders

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in LARGE ($10M+) commercial construction
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills
• Experience with pull planning and Last Planner System
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and Primavera
• Organizational and planning skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent multitasking skills
• Ability to manage complex situations, ambiguity, and conflict resolution
• Ability to focus on safety, financial performance, and client expectations
• Willingness to travel 100% of the time to job site(s)/office locations
• Ability to climb stairs
