Job summary

  • Champion OSHA compliance, safety training, incident reporting, and risk mitigation.
  • Represent the company at industry events and client meetings to foster repeat business.

Job description

  • Support all operational aspects of commercial construction projects in collaboration with regional leadership.
  • Set standards to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with Vice Presidents and implement the strategic goals of the Senior Vice President, IS Delivery Region.
  • Report directly to the Senior Vice President, IS Delivery Region.
  • Enforce consistent company policies and procedures across field operations.
  • Align field operations with the company's strategic vision and growth objectives.
  • Advise project teams on planning, resource allocation, and operational strategies to support delivery and profitability.
  • Champion safety compliance with OSHA regulations, ICRA policies, company safety policies, and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate safety training, incident reporting, and risk mitigation with HSE.
  • Monitor safety metrics and lead zero-incident initiatives.
  • Review project execution, scheduling, and resource management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery meeting client specifications.
  • Improve operational efficiency through standardized processes, technology, and workflow optimization.
  • Coordinate project managers, superintendents, and subcontractor/vendor field teams.
  • Develop and implement quality control standards, inspection procedures, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Oversee inspections, testing, documentation, and resolution of quality issues.
  • Build relationships with subcontractors and participate in selection, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations.
  • Mitigate subcontractor-performance risks, including delays, quality issues, and scope creep.
  • Oversee preconstruction, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk identification.
  • Guide labor, equipment, and materials utilization to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Build and lead a high-performing field operations team.
  • Mentor and develop superintendents and project managers.
  • Serve as primary contact for key clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with development, sustainability, and project management teams to support client relationships and repeat business.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Provide Delivery-strategy expertise during preconstruction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related area.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience managing large, complex commercial construction projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching experience with teams of diverse expertise levels.
  • Entrepreneurial team player able to multitask.
  • Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
  • Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented.

  • Ability to travel 50%–75% of the time to job sites and office locations.
  • Ability to climb stairs, remain stationary for prolonged periods, repeat wrist/hand/finger motions, and adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Work authorization compliance through participation in the e-Verify program.
