Job summary

Hunter Roberts Construction Group in New York seeks a Superintendent Level 3 to lead field operations on complex projects. This role reports to the Senior Superintendent and/or Project Manager, coordinating trades, safety, and schedule.

Candidates should have 3-5 years of construction experience, a SST card, and a Bachelor’s degree preferred. You will manage permits, material deliveries, and lookahead schedules to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; SST card required.
• 3-5 years of construction experience.
• Knowledge of Local Law 196 and OSHA regulations.
• Experience coordinating trades and field partners.
• Familiarity with SOV, RFI, and Exhibit A processes.

Responsibilities

• Direct work in the field and resolve field conflicts.
• Coordinate trade inspectors and specialty partners.
• Ensure permits are up to date and compliant.
• Assist with layout on the jobsite.
• Develop task-specific logistic plans with the team.
• Create and maintain lookahead schedules including manpower.
• Review daily huddles and site safety plans.

Title: Superintendent Level 3

Department: New York Operations

Reports To: Superintendent, Senior Superintendent and/or Project Manager by project

Knowledge

• Knowledge of specific field trades
• Knowledge of Local Law 196
• Thorough understanding of OSHA, NYCDOB and FDNY regulations
• Understand LEED material requirements

Skills

• Experience managing select specialty partners
• Actively participates in foreman's meeting for trade specific topics
• Assist with layout on the jobsite
• Direct work in the field and make decisions for field conflicts
• Collect, review, and understand daily huddles
• Understand, follow, and implement Site Safety Plan
• Partner with project managers to create, review and enforce JHA/PTP plans
• Able to run IIF committee meetings
• Coordinate trade specific inspectors and specialty partners
• Ensure correct and quality materials are delivered to the jobsite
• Manages plans, specs and quality of specific specialty partners or trades on site
• Responsibility for making sure permits are up to date
• Collaborates with lead super to develop task specific logistic plans
• Assist in writing and understanding Exhibit A's for trade specific work
• Understand and help create RFI's
• Develop stored materials plan based on ROJ
• Understand both specific trade and overall job specs and drawings
• Complete all required daily and monthly reports
• Understand both specific trade and overall job schedule
• Create and maintain trade specific lookahead schedules including tracking manpower
• Understanding process and controls of ticket work, review SOV and provide comments to management staff
• Assist in punch list and close out processes

Minimum Requirements
