Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. invites students to join the Integrated Capacity Solutions Internship for Summer 2027.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting transportation brokerage operations, with exposure to market dynamics, carrier negotiation strategies, and the tools used to deliver efficient solutions. As part of the internship, you will learn to establish a carrier base, contribute to revenue and margin goals, and deliver best-in-class service execution.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing.
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week during the summer.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to the transportation industry and brokerage operations.
• Participate in daily brokerage activities; verify carrier authenticity and maintain shipment records.
• Understand market trends, pricing strategies, and capacity challenges to support carrier negotiations.
• Act as liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers to communicate service issues and minimize costs.
• Learn about technology and tools used to streamline workflows and load management.
