J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking an Integrated Capacity Solutions Intern for May 2027.

Under close supervision, you will gain hands-on experience supporting transportation brokerage operations and learn about carrier negotiation strategies and margin optimization. You will gain exposure to market dynamics, technology, and tools used to deliver efficient solutions, while observing best-in-class service execution and cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing.
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week during the summer.
• Preferred: junior or senior level.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure and understanding of the transportation industry.
• Become involved in daily transportation brokerage activities; verify carrier authenticity, maintain shipment records, and monitor freight movement.
• Build understanding of market trends, pricing strategies, and capacity challenges that support carrier negotiations and margins.
• Observe and practice liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers; learn to communicate service failures to minimize cost and inefficiencies.
• Learn about technology and tools J.B. Hunt leverages to streamline workflows and carrier access to load management.
