Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Naperville, IL seeks a Structural Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week summer program, working with experienced engineers on design, analysis and project coordination.

You'll assist with documentation, site observations, and cross‑team coordination across commercial and institutional markets, gaining hands-on exposure to structural work in Chicagoland and the Midwest.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent, required

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural system design tasks for projects in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
• Research project-related resources and supporting information.
• Support client relations, maintain the project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files.
• Coordinate design and schedules with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and supplier teams.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring design progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check.
• Prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and support other services required by the contract services agreement.
• Work within the project's monetary budget while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.
