Job summary

IMEG Corporation is seeking a Sustainability & Energy Engineering Intern in Naperville, IL for a 10–12 week summer program. You will work with engineers on energy modeling, certifications, and decarbonization strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The internship offers mentorship, hands-on project work, and a potential path to full-time roles within a 100+ office, ESOP-owned firm, with a strong emphasis on real impact from day one.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least 2 years toward BS in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent.
• Prior internship in building design consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sustainable design practices across the company.
• Assist with building performance analyses on projects.
• Support green building certification efforts, including energy modeling, documentation, and certification coordination.
• Coordinate design information from multiple sources to inform energy models.
• Identify building and campus decarbonization strategies, including solar assessments.
• Assist in making sustainable design recommendations with senior staff.
• Research energy code requirements (LEED, IECC, ASHRAE 90.1).
• Assist with preparation and issuance of reports.
