This posting is for Summer 2027 Internship opportunities. IMEG is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern in Naperville, Illinois. Over 10-12 weeks, you'll assist in the analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems in buildings and other structures while working closely with experienced engineers and consultants. In this role, you'll support project documentation, coordination, and job site observations while helping the team work within project budgets and meet client expectations. You'll contribute to projects across commercial and institutional markets, gaining hands‑on exposure to structural work in Chicagoland and the broader Midwest.
Our Naperville structural team focuses on industrial, commercial, civic, healthcare, and education work, with especially heavy activity in Chicagoland and broader Midwest markets. Frequent assignments include industrial buildings, municipal and public safety facilities, school improvements, retail and commercial peer reviews, and targeted structural investigations.
Recent work includes Village of Schaumburg Public Safety Facility, Government (City/County/State), and Cardinal Health Glendale Heights Cyclotron Addition, Commercial.
State of Illinois Pay Range: $22.00–$24.00 per hour
