Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week summer program in Naperville, Illinois. You will assist in the analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems in buildings, working closely with experienced engineers and consultants.

During the internship you will support project documentation, site observations, and coordination across disciplines while learning IMEG's ESOP culture and leveraging in-house tools.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural system design tasks for projects per code and IMEG standards.
• Research project-related resources and supporting information.
• Support client relations and maintain project design notebook and permanent records.
• Coordinate design and schedules with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and supplier teams.
