Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Ontario, CA is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program. You will assist in design, analysis, and implementation oversight for structural systems in commercial and institutional projects, under mentorship.

The paid internship includes hands-on project work, collaboration with experienced engineers, and opportunities to contribute to sustainable design goals and SE2050.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project design for structural systems in accordance with applicable codes and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching and locating project resources.
• Support client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent-record documentation.
• Assist with coordinating design and schedules with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, supplier, and other disciplines.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before final review.
• Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job-site observations and provide other services required by the contract services agreement.
