Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program in Idaho Falls, ID (with opportunities related to Las Vegas, NV). You will assist in analysis, design, and oversight of structural systems while gaining hands-on experience alongside senior engineers and consultants.

You’ll contribute across disciplines, support budgets, and help document progress toward sustainable design goals including SE2050. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects according to code and IMEG standards.
• Research project resources and supporting information.
• Support client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation.
• Coordinate design and schedule needs with other disciplines and suppliers.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check.
• Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other services as required by the contract services agreement.
