Job summary

UW Interco, LLC is hiring for a Summer 2027 internship, offering a 12-week program from May to August at Louisville, KY. Interns will work alongside quality, engineering, and production teams, spending time on the manufacturing floor to learn processes and operations and to identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing during internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
• Interest in manufacturing and hands-on engineering work.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside quality, engineering, and production teams on real projects.
• Spend time on the manufacturing floor learning processes, equipment, and operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Collect and analyze production data.
• Support process improvement, equipment, tooling, and layout projects.
• Assist with time studies, process documentation, and work instructions.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
