Job summary

Tru Vue Inc. is hiring for a Summer 2027 internship with locations in Cincinnati, OH, Faribault, MN, and Louisville, KY. The 12-week program runs May–August and offers hands-on project experience, professional development, and exposure to multiple Apogee locations.

Interns will work with engineering, quality, and production teams on real manufacturing projects. You will gain insights into processes, safety improvements, and lean initiatives while contributing to ongoing production optimization.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year engineering degree (Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical).
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing at internship time.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Interest in manufacturing and hands-on engineering work.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and on the production floor.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Work with quality, engineering, and production teams on real projects.
• Spend time on the manufacturing floor to learn processes, equipment, and operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Collect and analyze production data.
• Support process improvement, equipment, tooling, and layout projects.
• Assist with time studies, process documentation, and work instructions.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Help implement engineering solutions and see projects through to completion.
