Job summary

UW Interco, LLC offers Summer 2027 internships at Cincinnati, OH; Faribault, MN; and Louisville, KY locations. The 12-week program provides hands-on lab and production experience, mentorship from industry experts, and collaboration with engineering and production teams on real projects.

Interns will gain exposure to process improvement, lean manufacturing, and time studies, with leadership opportunities and a strong foundation for a career in manufacturing engineering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in an engineering field with Sophomore–Senior standing.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Interest in manufacturing and hands-on engineering work.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Work with quality, engineering, and production teams on real projects.
• Spend time on the manufacturing floor learning processes and operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency and productivity.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Collect and analyze production data.
• Support process improvement and layout projects.
• Assist with time studies and work instructions.
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and project completion.
