Job summary

UW Interco, LLC in Louisville, KY (with Cincinnati, OH and Faribault, MN locations) is hiring interns for Summer 2027. The 12-week program runs May–August and provides hands-on project experience, mentorship, and exposure to manufacturing floor operations.

Interns will collaborate with engineering and production teams on real projects, participate in continuous improvement, and gain a strong foundation for a career in manufacturing engineering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing during the internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Interest in manufacturing and hands-on engineering work.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside quality, engineering, and production teams on real projects. Spend time on the manufacturing floor learning processes, equipment, and operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Collect and analyze production data.
• Support process improvement, equipment, tooling, and layout projects.
• Assist with time studies, process documentation, and work instructions.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Help implement engineering solutions and see projects through to completion.
