Job summary

Apogee Architectural Metals is seeking interns for Summer 2027 at multiple locations including Louisville, KY. The 12-week internship runs May–August, offering hands-on lab and production experience, mentorship, and exposure to engineering and production teams.

You will work on real projects on the manufacturing floor, learn processes, help troubleshoot issues, collect and analyze data, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Sophomore, Junior or Senior standing at the time of the internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and interest in hands-on engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Work with quality, engineering and production teams on real projects.
• Spend time on the manufacturing floor learning processes and operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality and productivity.
• Assist with troubleshooting and data collection.
• Support process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Help with time studies and work instructions.
