Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota Company, invites engineering students to join its 2027 Summer Internship Program in Salina, KS. The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will work on a project with a mentor, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to real production improvements.

Internship runs mid-May to early-August; interns work on-site, enjoy a four-day work week, and housing is provided for those outside the Salina area.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering.
• Willing to live within commuting distance to Salina, KS area for the Summer.
• Able to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week) during the Summer.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screening within a week of start.
• Providing proof of identity and work authorization in the United States (I-9) on first day.

Responsibilities

• Work on a Manufacturing Engineering project at a Salina facility.
• Collaborate with engineers and shop-floor teams to apply classroom knowledge.
• Receive mentorship and participate in intern activities and events.
