Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota Company, in Salina, KS, invites applications for a 2027 Summer Intern – Lean Engineer. Interns will work on-site, complete a Lean Engineering project, and collaborate with peers and mentors to apply classroom knowledge in a real manufacturing setting.

Interns work a 4-day week from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., earning $20 per hour, with housing provided for those outside the Salina area.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Ag Systems or other relevant Engineering major
• Housing will be provided within 20 miles of your assigned location if needed
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week) during the Summer
• Pre-employment physical and drug screening required before first day of work
• Proof of identity and work authorization in the United States on first day

Responsibilities

• Complete a Lean Engineering project with a mentor
• Engage with engineers and production teams on-site
• Participate in summer activities and networking events with other interns
