Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. invites you to join its 2027 Summer Internship Program in the Salina, KS area. Interns work full-time from mid-May to early August, earning $20 per hour and enjoying a 4-day workweek for Engineers, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m. Housing is provided for those outside the area. Interns complete a project with a mentor, gaining practical experience and connecting with peers and Great Plains employees through planned activities and events.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Agrisystems or other engineering major.
• Willingness to live within commuting distance of Salina, KS or Abilene, KS area for the Summer.
• Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hours/week) during the Summer.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screening within a week of start date.
• Proof of identity and legal work authorization in the United States (I-9) on first day, with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Complete a project with a mentor and peers, applying college knowledge in the workplace.
• Work on a Design Engineering project related to agricultural or construction equipment.
• Engage in summer activities and networking events with other interns and employees.
