Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota Company, invites applications for the 2027 Summer Internship Program in Salina, KS. Test Engineer Interns will work on-site at an R&D facility, contributing to test engineering for agricultural and construction equipment. Housing is provided for interns outside Salina, KS, with a four-day work week and 6:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Ag Systems or other relevant Engineering major.
• Willingness to live within commuting distance of Salina, KS or Abilene, KS for the Summer.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week) during the Summer.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screening within a week of first day.
• Proof of identity and legal work authorization in the United States on first day (I-9).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for Summer travel and commute.

Responsibilities

• Work on a project in Test Engineering related to design and manufacturing of equipment.
• Complete assigned tasks with a mentor and be active in Summer activities.
• Collaborate with engineers on the production floor and R&D facilities.
