Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota Company, invites motivated students to join our 2027 Summer Internship Program. Internships are full-time, based in Abilene, Assaria, Lucas, Salina, or Tipton, Kansas, with housing provided for those outside Salina.

Interns complete a mentee-guided project while enjoying team-building activities and hands-on experience in engineering, manufacturing, and business operations. Interns work 40 hours per week from mid-May to early-August and earn $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in a relevant Engineering or Business Major from a 4-year accredited university.
• Willingness to live within commuting distance of the assigned location, typically in Salina, KS or Abilene, KS area for the duration of the Summer.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week) during the Summer.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to the Salina, KS area and commute to and from work and activities throughout the Summer.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening test within a week of your first day of employment.
• Providing, upon your first day of employment, satisfactory proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States, and your completion of an Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9

Responsibilities

• Complete a project with a mentor and peers, applying college knowledge in the workplace.
• Participate in summer activities and events to connect with other interns and Great Plains employees.
• Collaborate with engineers and production floor team members on practical engineering tasks.
