Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota Company, seeks 2027 Summer Interns for Manufacturing Engineering in the Salina, KS area. Interns work full-time May–August, earn $20/hr, with a 4-day schedule (Mon-Thu 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.).

Housing is provided if needed, and internships are on-site at Salina facilities. Requirements include enrollment in an engineering bachelor’s program and willingness to live within commuting distance of Salina or Abilene.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Ag Systems or other relevant Engineering major.
• Ability to live within commuting distance of Salina, KS or Abilene, KS for the duration of the Summer.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week) during the Summer.
• Pre-employment physical and drug screening within a week of start date.
• Proof of identity and work authorization (I-9) on first day.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for commuting and activities.

Responsibilities

• Work on a project in Manufacturing Engineering related to manufacturing agricultural or construction equipment.
• Engage in activities with other interns and Great Plains employees during the summer.
• Support on-site manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
