Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota Company, is inviting applications for its 2027 Summer Internship Program in Salina, KS. Interns work full-time May through August with a 4-day week (Mon-Thur, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.). Housing is provided if you are outside Salina.

Each intern completes a project with a mentor in Manufacturing Engineering. Applicants must be enrolled in an engineering bachelor’s program and be able to work on-site, with a pre-employment screen and I-9 verification.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Ag Systems or other relevant Engineering major
• Willingness to live within commuting distance to Salina, KS area for the Summer
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week) during the Summer
• Pre-employment physical and drug screen within a week of first day
• Proof of identity and work authorization in the US and I-9 completion
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute to Salina area

Responsibilities

• Complete a project in Manufacturing Engineering under a mentor
• Assist with manufacturing process tasks and equipment evaluation
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff on the factory floor
