Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota Company, offers a 2027 Summer Internship in Salina, KS. Interns work on-site for mid-May to early-August, earning $20 per hour, with a 4-day work week (Mon–Thu, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and housing provided for those outside the area.

Design Engineer Interns will be assigned to one of our R&D facilities, tackling a project in Design Engineering related to agricultural or construction equipment, mentored by experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Ag Systems or other relevant Engineering major.
• Willingness to live within commuting distance of Salina, KS area for the duration of the Summer.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week) during the Summer.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening test.
• Proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States (I-9) on first day.

Responsibilities

• Complete a project with a mentor in Design Engineering related to agricultural or construction equipment.
• Work on-site in Salina, KS area with a 4-day work week schedule (Mon–Thu, 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).
• Engage with peers and mentors in hands-on engineering work and professional activities.
