Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota Company, invites applications for the 2027 Summer Internship Program in Salina, KS. The Temporary Professional Lean Engineer Intern will join our on-site team, working on a Lean Engineering project related to manufacturing agricultural or construction equipment.

Interns work full-time May through August, earning $20 per hour with a 4-day work week from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Ag Systems or other relevant Engineering major.
• That you are willing to live within commuting distance of Salina, KS for the duration of the internship.
• Able to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week) during summer.
• Successful completion of pre-employment physical and drug screening; valid I-9 on first day.

Responsibilities

• Complete a Lean Engineering project with a mentor.
• Work on a Lean Engineering project related to manufacturing agricultural or construction equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and production floor teams and participate in summer activities.
