Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota Company, is seeking a Lean Engineer Intern for our 2027 Summer Internship Program. These internships will be on-site in the Salina, KS area.

Our Summer Interns work full-time from Mid-May to Early-August and earn $20 per hour. Housing is provided for interns who reside outside Salina, KS. Interns complete a project with a mentor and peers, applying their college knowledge and gaining practical work experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Ag Systems or other relevant Engineering major.
• Willingness to live within commuting distance of the assigned location, typically Salina, KS or Abilene, KS area for the duration of the Summer.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week) during the Summer.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening test within a week of your first day.
• Providing proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States, and I-9 completion.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to the Salina area.

Responsibilities

• Complete a project with a mentor and peers, applying college knowledge in the workplace.
• Gain practical experience and participate in summer activities with other interns and Great Plains employees.
• Work on a Lean Engineering project related to manufacturing agricultural or construction equipment.
