Qualifications

Current status: Sophomore or above with completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
Minimum GPA: 2.8; desired GPA 3.2 or above.
Must be able to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain for observation duties.
Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation or access to public transportation.

Responsibilities

Assist on civil engineering projects with tasks involving civil engineering, planning and design.
Assist with preparation of reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Assist with construction observation, perform construction staking, and perform construction administration duties.
Some internship opportunities may include working on reports, completing design calculations, writing specifications, and reviewing shop drawings.
