Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking a Land Development Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Raleigh, NC. You will work primarily with design and construction activities for land development projects, gaining practical field and office experience.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Civil Engineering, with 2.8 GPA minimum and 3.2+ preferred, and have coursework in surveying and AutoCAD. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in Civil Engineering degree program from an accredited institution.
• Minimum GPA 2.8; Desired GPA 3.2 or above.
• Sophomore or higher with coursework in surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
• Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain.
• Valid driver’s license and access to transportation; travel reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Assist on civil engineering projects with tasks involving civil engineering, planning and design.
• Assist with preparation of reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist with construction observation, staking, and administration duties.
• Potential involvement in design calculations, writing specifications, and reviewing shop drawings.
