Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is offering a paid 12-week Summer Heavy Civil Engineering Internship in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. You will work as a Project Intern under seasoned professionals on active heavy civil projects, gaining hands-on site experience and exposure to engineering, construction management, and project operations.

Qualifications

• Active junior or senior college student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar.
• Target graduation between Aug 2027 and Dec 2028.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to work in project teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with submittals, RFIs, and document control on active heavy civil projects.
• Support project engineers, superintendents, and field teams in project planning and scheduling.
• Learn to read construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Participate in weekly safety meetings and contribute to meeting minutes.
• Engage in hands‑on training with construction management software and tools and report on project progress.
