Austin Bridge & Road invites qualified students to join its 2027 Spring Heavy Civil Engineering Internship in the Dallas/Fort Worth/North Texas area. You’ll work on real projects, support field teams, and learn from seasoned professionals on multi-million-dollar highway and bridge construction sites.

Open to active juniors or seniors pursuing a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree, with the ability to work up to 40 hours weekly, a valid driver's license, and strong communication

Qualifications

Active junior or senior college student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
Ability to work up to 40 hours per week; commute onsite to assigned location
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Support active heavy civil construction projects and field operations
Assist with reading construction drawings and project documentation
Coordinate with project engineers, superintendents, and field teams
Assist with project planning, scheduling, and look-ahead schedules
Participate in safety meetings and maintain logs
Support documentation and reporting of project records
