Harris is offering a Summer 2027 Construction Project Manager Internship designed for college students to gain hands-on experience in the construction process. You will engage in pre-job activities, on-site construction, and closeout tasks, turning classroom knowledge into real-world skills across diverse projects.

You should be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, with strong math, reading plans, and teamwork abilities, and excellent verbal/written

Qualifications

• Must be a current student working toward degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry and project management.
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents.
• Demonstrated proficiency of math and analytical skills.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication while working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Job: Estimating; Job Setup; Job contracts; Permits and insurance certificates.
• During Construction: Safety; Purchasing; Submittals; Tracking materials & equipment; Productivity tracking; Change orders and tracking RFIs.
• Job Closeout: Project closeout; O&M manuals; As-recording drawings and warranties.
