Job summary

Harris is seeking a Construction Project Manager Intern for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle. You will learn to read construction documents, assist with estimating and job setup, monitor safety and progress, and support closeout deliverables.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student working toward degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry and project management
• Ability to read and comprehend construction documents
• Demonstrated proficiency of math and analytical skills
• Must have strong interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication while working in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Pre-Job activities including estimating, job setup, job contracts, and permits/insurance certificates
• During construction: safety, purchasing, submittals, tracking materials/equipment, productivity tracking
• Handling change orders and RFIs
• Job closeout: preparing O&M manuals and as-record drawings/warranties
