Job summary

Harris is seeking a Project Manager Intern for Summer 2027 to provide college students with hands-on experience in the construction process. You will gain real-life skills by turning classroom lessons into practical applications, working through the full project lifecycle from pre-job planning to closeout.

You will be exposed to estimating, permits, safety, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation, while developing strong math, analytical, and teamwork skills in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in math and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Exposure to all project aspects from start to finish.
• Pre-Job activities: estimating, setup, contracts, permits, insurance certificates.
• During construction: safety, purchasing, submittals, tracking materials, productivity, change orders, RFIs.
• Job closeout: closeout docs, O&M manuals, as-record drawings, warranties.
