Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our busy summer camps. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day part, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety in a fast-paced, on-site kitchen.

This seasonal, exempt position requires living on-site at rural camp facilities across the US, working a demanding 6-day, 70-hour week, with competitive pay, a bonus program, and full room and board.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, scratch baking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to navigate iPad and manage digital tools in a kitchen.
• Willing to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Oversee prep, production, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Manage allergen protocols and health department sanitation standards.
• Monitor inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve campers and camp leadership as liaison for kitchen operations.
