Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This on-site, live-in position requires readiness to work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week with room and board provided for the duration of the contract. Competitive seasonal pay and travel allowance are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Strictly manage food allergy protocols and maintain sanitation standards.
