Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced, high-energy Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our summer camp operations. You will oversee all prep and production for the designated day part, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

This on-site, live-in position runs May through Sept across rural camp facilities in the US. Enjoy competitive seasonal pay, a performance bonus, and full room and board for the contract duration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, scratch baking, IPad navigation, ingredient versatility, and problem-solving abilities.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee scratch cooking processes, portion control, and menu specs.
• Strict allergen and safety protocol management and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
