Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Associate Intern in Chicago to support project controls and project management on power engineering projects. The role offers hands-on team experience on a multi-disciplinary project team starting Summer 2027.

You will assist with scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting while leveraging your coursework in construction/engineering. A strong MS Office foundation and clear communication are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Construction Management, Industrial or General Engineering; ABET program preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, for detailed spreadsheets and databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with project team members, clients, and vendors.
