Job summary
Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join a project team and support engineers across power plant retrofit projects, new generation installations, renewables, and oil & gas facilities. You will contribute to drawings, calculations, specifications, and design tasks under senior engineers, with a Summer 2027 start.
This is a hands-on, industry-focused internship at a leading power engineering firm.
Qualifications
- Must be actively enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a strong academic background and coursework in electrical power concepts and AC power systems analysis.
- Good verbal and written communication skills along with strong PC skills are required.
- Prior, related internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Enrollment in an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and designs.
- Work on project teams and assist the engineering team members in project execution.
- Be involved in electric power equipment document reviews.
