Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a student intern in Chicago to join the Consulting group. You will collaborate with the Consulting Business Group, assist in preparing proposals and marketing materials, and support project teams with independent engineering tasks, design reviews, and feasibility studies.

This summer-start role emphasizes technical reporting, data tracking, and preparation of conceptual designs, with opportunities to work on power projects and client-facing deliverables.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum GPA 3.2 at an accredited university.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Consulting Business Group and expand your academic background in Engineering.
• Assist in preparing Consulting proposals, marketing materials, technical presentations, and white papers.
• Support project teams with power project independent engineering, development, design review, and feasibility studies.
• Track and evaluate project activities and progress, and associated data.
• Prepare technical reports and other Consulting deliverables, including conceptual designs and specifications.
• Provide technical support to clients.
