Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a candidate to join the Consulting Business Group in Chicago with a summer 2027 start. The role offers exposure to power project engineering, feasibility studies, and development work while contributing to technical reports and client support.

Candidates are pursuing a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree with strong academics and communication skills. The position emphasizes collaboration with the Consulting Business Group, the use of MS Office tools, and

Qualifications

• Pursuing either a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with at least six semesters or equivalent quarters completed at an accredited university.
• Minimum overall GPA of at least 3.2.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with members of the Consulting Business Group and expand your academic background in Engineering.
• Assist in the preparation of Consulting proposals, marketing materials, technical presentations, and white papers.
• Support project teams with power project independent engineering, development, design review, and feasibility studies.
• Track and evaluate project activities and progress, and associated data.
• Prepare technical reports and other Consulting deliverables, including conceptual designs and specifications.
• Provide technical support to clients.
