Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join a project team and support senior engineers in executing project work across power plant retrofit projects, new generation installations, renewable energy projects, and oil & gas facilities.

You're expected to be enrolled in an Electrical Engineering degree and to contribute to drawings, calculations, and equipment reviews while developing practical engineering skills under experienced mentors. Summer 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a strong academic background in electrical power concepts and AC power systems analysis.
• Good verbal and written communication skills along with strong PC skills.
• Prior related internship or co-op experience is preferred; ABET accreditation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Be involved in electric power equipment document reviews.
