Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC in Texas seeks a Substation Technician-B to perform construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment and systems. The role requires 4–6 years of continuous knowledge of 525 kV and below equipment, comfort with confined spaces and elevated work areas, and travel up to 90%.

You will work with energized high voltage gear, operate heavy equipment, coach crew members, and ensure safe, compliant operation.

Qualifications

• Requires valid CDL and own hand tools for daily use.
• Ability to perform rigorous physical labor and lift >50 lbs.
• Experience with high/low voltage systems and heavy equipment operation.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance or repair of substation equipment and systems.
• Work with energized high voltage gear safely and effectively.
• Coach crew members and ensure quality workmanship.
• Maintain vehicles, test equipment and tools in good condition.
