Pike Corporation is seeking a Substation Technician C to perform construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment and systems. The role requires handling high and low voltage components, working from heights, and traveling to multiple job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Capable of climbing and working at heights up to 125 feet.
• Must possess or be capable of obtaining a Commercial Drivers' License.
• Must supply own personal hand tools required by the company for this work.
• Must supply own safety toed work boots.
• Must be capable of lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
• Must be capable of working in confined spaces/areas.
• Must be able to work independently or with others.
• Willing to work overtime or long hours during emergencies and/or when requested.

Responsibilities

• Works safely while performing construction, maintenance or repair of substation equipment/systems.
• Maintain and operate electrical buswork, control cables and terminations.
• Assist with transformers, circuit breakers and related components.
• Travel as required to various locations and sites.
• Follow company safety rules and procedures.
