Job summary

WSP is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Engineer to join the Power Delivery Substation Structural Group in the United States. You will lead other engineers and drafters, perform structural design for substations, and collaborate with the Civil/Structural Team to meet client objectives.

You will develop calculations, construction specifications, cost estimates, and schedules, while ensuring code compliance, quality, and safety. Occasional travel may be required; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• BSCE from ABET accredited college.
• 5–7 years of post-education structural design experience.
• Expertise in steel and concrete design, soil mechanics, and foundation design.
• Ability to lead teams and work with multiple disciplines.
• Strong English communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers, designers, and drafters on substation structural design.
• Develop calculations, construction specs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and review shop drawings.
• Ensure design adheres to codes and client standards.
• Travel occasionally as required.
