Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Engineer for its Power Delivery Substation Structural Group to design electrical substations in collaboration with the Civil/Structural Team. The role involves leading engineers and drafters and delivering complete design packages from foundations to control buildings.

Applicants should have a BSCE from an ABET-accredited program, 5–7 years of post-education experience, and an active PE license or PE exam completion. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• BSCE degree from ABET-accredited college.
• 5–7 years of post-education structural design experience.
• Expertise in structural analysis (steel/concrete), soil mechanics, and foundation design.
• Strong written and oral communication in English.
• Active PE license or successful completion of PE exam.
• Ability to manage multiple projects within budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers, designers, and drafters in substation structural design.
• Perform design of foundations, structural supports, and control buildings.
• Prepare calculation packages satisfying client, code, and company standards.
• Coordinate with disciplines and review shop drawings while addressing RFIs.
• Contribute to project schedules, cost estimates, and engineering proposals.
• Travel occasionally as required by projects.
